Plot of govt. against VAT increase
President of The Bahamas Christian Council Bishop Delton Fernander, in an interview with Beyond the Headlines Tuesday, accused the government of having a very specific agenda as it relates to the tax increase for gaming operators in the country.
The proposed hike, which will take effect on July 1 of this year, levy a 20 percent up to 50 per cent increase in taxes based on their annual earnings.
