NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Carnival Corporation, the Caribbean’s leading cruise line and the world’s largest cruise company, is launching an island-hopping recruitment tour across The Bahamas to find new team members for its eagerly awaited cruise port destination, Celebration Key.
The tour kicks off on September 7th at the Grand Lucayan on Grand Bahama and will continue with stops in Andros, Long Island, Nassau, Abaco, Cat Island, and San Salvador. At each event, individuals and local businesses can learn about job opportunities in management, supervision, housekeeping, lifeguarding, maintenance, IT, guest experience, operations, finance, and safety.
“We’re thrilled about this recruitment drive because our success relies heavily on building a team that mirrors the incredible diversity of the destinations we visit and the communities we serve,” said Marielle Johnson, Lead Recruiter. “These events offer a unique chance for Bahamians from all walks of life to connect with the Carnival Corporation team, explore a wide range of career paths and benefits, and help us create unforgettable experiences for our guests at Celebration Key.”
The recruitment effort aims to give every interested Bahamian the chance to apply. Applications will be processed electronically, with resumes and documents submitted through a recruitment database. Celebration Key executives and HR representatives will assist candidates at each event.
This initiative is part of Carnival Corporation’s commitment to creating local opportunities at Celebration Key, where at least 75 percent of retail and food and beverage outlets will be Bahamian-owned and operated. Set to open in the summer of 2025, Celebration Key is expected to generate over 700 permanent jobs in Grand Bahama, including more than 400 direct positions with Carnival Corporation.
With the recent announcement of a $100 million pier extension investment, the initial phase of the $600 million Celebration Key project, which includes the original two cruise ship berths, is projected to significantly boost economic activity in Grand Bahama, welcoming 2.2 million guests annually starting in 2025.
