Capital House deep cleaned and sanitized today

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Cabinet Office announced today that the Ministry of Health’s subsidiary office at Capital House was deep cleaned and sanitized today.

The building on the corner of Augusta and Virginia Streets.

The Capital House building houses the Health Education and Nutrition Units, the Nursing Council and the Hospitals and Health Care Facilities Licensing Board.

According to the statement, a member of staff tested positive for COVID-19 but has not been into work since Friday, August 28.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the sanitization process was executed and completed on Sunday, 6 September, so that operations can resume as usual on Monday, 7th September 2020,” the statement read.

“The Surveillance Unit has initiated contact tracing to determine the level of exposure to all employees, and all other protocols are being followed.”
