Cable Bahamas manager found dead in condo

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A Cable Bahamas manager was yesterday found dead with stab wounds in his West Bay Street condo.

Marcus Hinsbey, a technical accounts manager, was found sometime around 10.30 at The Vineto, on Atlantic Drive.

Other residents in the gated complex said that Hinsbey, a European expat, is also head of the homeowners association.

Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings said coworkers informed the police that they had not heard from Hinsbey which led officers to his residence to investigate.

“Police, along with the property manager here breached the condominium occupied by the deceased and once on the inside discovered a caucasian male who appears to be in his early sixties with multiple lacerations to the body,” she said.

“As I indicated initially, we do not know who is responsible, but we are appealing to members of the public who may have heard or who may have seen to kindly come forward.”

Skippings said cameras in the complex will likely aid in continuing investigations and urged members of the public with any additional information to come forward.

“Police are investigating at this time, and I can assure you that they will speak with residents of the condominiums to see if there would be any clues or any information that can assist with the investigations,” she said.
