NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 17-year-old male is recovering in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed during an altercation at the C.C. Sweeting Senior High School on Monday.
Eyewitness News Online understands that the teen, who had recently celebrated his birthday, was allegedly stabbed once in the back and he is listed in serious but stable condition.
Police say the incident took place shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Monday and a 17-year-old student is in custody assisting police with their investigations.
Despite the stabbing, Minister of Education Jeffrey Lloyd stressed on Tuesday that public schools are still safe.
