Budget day: State of the Economy


Just hours away from the 2018- 2019 Budget Debate in Parliament , which will lay the financial blueprint for the upcoming fiscal year.

The government has made a number of commitments including the elimination of value-added tax (VAT) on certain food items and an aggressive housing programme along with increasing pension payouts.
