BTC title sponsors successful Red Cross Ball

BTC’s CEO, Sameer Bhatti, addresses patrons of the 50th annual Red Cross Ball.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The 50th annual Red Cross Ball, held on January 27th, was dubbed by Ball organizers as “a smashing success,” and BTC was happy to serve once again as the Ball’s Title Sponsor.

“As Red Cross Ball organizers celebrated 50 years, I commend them for executing an event that was not only flawless but memorable,” said BTC CEO Sameer Bhatti. “It was indeed a pleasure for BTC to serve once again as the Ball’s title sponsor because we know how important it is to give back and help those in need. BTC is looking forward to a continued partnership with the Bahamas Red Cross and we would like to thank everyone who attended this year’s Ball to show their support of a good cause.”

Kim Thurston, Red Cross Ball Chair

Held at the New Providence Ballroom of the Baha Mar Convention Center, this year’s Ball attracted more than 600 guests and featured special performances by The Royal Bahamas Police Force, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Pop Band, the Rhythm Band, DMac, and Nishie LS.

The highlight of the Ball, however, was a silent auction that was held for a brand new 2024 BYD Yuan Plus to commemorate the Ball’s 50th anniversary. The corporate honoree for this year’s Ball was Commonwealth Brewery, and the individual honoree was Mr. Craig Gomez, past president of The Bahamas Red Cross Society.
