Neighborhoods fully fiberized with speeds up to 600Mbps and unlimited postpaid mobile plans

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — BTC completed its fiber upgrades in several communities in the western district of New Providence, including Tropical Gardens and Westridge north, which now gives more than 650 families access of up to 600Mpbs of broadband speed directly to their homes.

BTC CEO Andre Foster said: “Our promise is to upgrade our communities throughout the country continues and we are proud to announce that we’ve elevated the broadband experience for residents in both Tropical Gardens and Westridge north.

“These customers can now benefit from unrivaled, super-fast broadband speeds at unbeatable prices, giving them access to stay connected to what matters most. Last Saturday, our teams upgraded customers’ services on the spot with same day installation.”

Additionally, he said customers in all BTC communities can also benefit from its new Plus Bundles, enabling them to combine all of their services on one bill at one low flat monthly rate. With Plus Bundles, customers can add postpaid mobile to their existing landline, internet and television fixed bundle to receive even bigger savings. Customers can add either two or up to four postpaid mobile lines with unlimited voice, data and roaming services.

“Essentially, we’ve combined the power of The Bahamas’ best network with the nation’s best offer — a single connectivity plan for the entire family that fits every want, need and budget,” said Foster.

“With the addition of our Plus Bundles, customers are paying as low as $1.66 per line, per day for mobile services, which includes unlimited voice and up to 300GB of mobile data with roaming.”

As part of its introductory offer, customers adding a Plus Bundle will receive 50 percent off their existing fixed bundle for three months, along with free Samsung mobile devices.

The BTC team also visited the Fortune Bay community on Grand Bahama to provide on-the-spot installation for customers who wish to be connected to the recently upgraded fiber services. BTC is currently completing its fiber-to-the-home rollout in the Flamingo Gardens community, and by the end of July, residents will be able to benefit from those upgrades.

In the last year, BTC made significant investments upgrading its infrastructure. The company is aggressively elevating its network from copper to fiber, providing an enhanced experience for customers. In May, BTC increased its entry-level broadband speed for fiber customers from 50Mbps to 100Mbps.
