Two men, dressed as females, entered John Bull in Port Lucaya, Freeport shortly after 10:00 a.m. Monday morning and robbed the store of an undetermined amount of luxury merchandise, authorities in Grand Bahama said.

Police reports indicate that the duo smashed a jewelry case, grabbed handfuls of luxury jewelry pieces, and made their escape on foot through the plaza before speeding off in a dark-colored vehicle.

Police have not confirmed the exact dollar value on the jewels that were stolen.

Authorities in Grand Bahama told Eyewitness News that they have captured the vehicle, a dark-colored Infiniti, which was believed to have been used in the heist.

Grand Bahama police have confirmed that they are following significant leads into this case.
