BOC names Youth Olympic Team

The Bahamas Olympic Committee (BOC) yesterday named the team that will represent the country next month at the Youth Olympic Summer Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The games run from October 6-18 and will feature a total of 36 disciplines. The Bahamas will be represented in two disciplines at the multi-sport event, athletics and swimming.

Above is the full team list and the event each athlete will be competing in.

This year marks the first time the Summer Youth Olympic Games will be held outside of Asia (also first in the Southern and Western Hemispheres), and the first Youth Games for either summer or winter to be held outside Eurasia.
