NASSAU, BAHAMS – A boating accident on Sunday in George Town, Exuma, resulted in an American man being injured and admitted to hospital, according to authorities.
He was said to be in serious condition at last report.
According to authorities, shortly before 5 p.m., the captain of a tour boat sailing in Elizabeth Harbour, George Town, felt “something hit the rear of the boat”.
“He and others made a check of the water and discovered a male with injuries to his hand,” police said.
“The injured was retrieved from the water and transported to the Exuma Medical Facility where he was treated and later airlifted to a hospital on New Providence.”
