BNT’s Wine & Art Festival Returns First Weekend of October

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) and Commonwealth Brewery Limited (CBL) are gearing up to host the 32nd annual Wine & Art Festival, which will this year take place Saturday, October 5, and Sunday, October 6, at The Retreat Garden on Village Road.

Every fall, Wine & Art brings people together to celebrate and support culture, creativity, and conservation while enjoying unlimited samplings of premium wine.

This October, event patrons will get to sample more than 50 wines from around the world, courtesy of CBL; browse unique art and products from more than 40 local artists and vendors; indulge in delicious food and treats; and delight in live music and entertainment.

Attendees will have multiple festival experience options, with the return of the VIP Champagne Lounge, serving cold glasses of luxury champagne and live entertainment from 5 pm to 7 pm, and the Heineken Beer Garden Afterparty, offering mixed drinks, unlimited Heineken, and a live DJ from 7 pm to 10 pm.

Wine & Art is a one-of-a-kind event. BNT Events Coordinator Kimberly Knowles said: “This year, Wine & Art is happening earlier than usual, so we’re excited to welcome people to The Retreat the first weekend of October for this amazing event. It isn’t just for the wine experts; there’s something for everyone who appreciates culture, art, and trying new things.

“We encourage everyone to join us for a thrilling weekend supporting a great cause – protecting our natural treasures, our beloved Bahamian environment. And because Wine & Art is held on the historic grounds of The Retreat Garden – just one of many national parks managed by the BNT – it’s the perfect opportunity to experience one of these natural treasures you’re helping to protect firsthand.”

Wine & Art is one of the BNT’s biggest fundraising events. Proceeds from the event contribute to their mission of safeguarding national parks, which preserve the natural heritage, resources, and biodiversity of The Bahamas.

Additionally, Wine & Art also supports the creative community and local small businesses. The event provides new and experienced artists a platform to showcase their work and expand their audiences.

Wine & Art 2024 is sponsored by Commonwealth Brewery Limited; The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism; Aliv; Auto Mall with Hyundai; Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board; SunCash; Bahamas Waste; Expressions Entertainment; Bahamia Rental, and others.
