Bahamas Agricultural & Industrial Corporation (BAIC) touted the 27th successful week of its pop up farmer’s market during a press conference held at BAIC headquarters Friday.
The market, which is held every Saturday on Gladstone Road, features only locally grown produce at some of the best market prices.
BAIC Chairman Michael Foulkes said while the corporation is extremely proud of the success, the farmers market’s goal remains to decrease the cost of living by reducing the billion-dollar food import bill.
