As the marijuana debate continues, Elliot Marshall Hepburn – a Bahamian living abroad and owner of Proper RX Collective and Bahama Can – applied for a business license to be the first authorised seller of medical marijuana in Nassau and Grand Bahama.

Hepburn, who currently lives and operates his companies abroad said, he is closely monitoring the conversation of legalising marijuana, and hopes that the government will see that the economic benefits of the herb far exceeds the initial $5 million estimated by the Caribbean Community’s (CARICOM) report.

Elliott is a trailblazer in the cannabis industry and is devoted to educating the Bahamian community about cannabis’ medicinal benefits. His company abroad, Proper Rx, has been a lifeline for those patients who are terminally ill and in chronic pain for more than a decade.
