Bahamasair passengers traveling from South Florida to The Bahamas on Saturday had to endure extended delays that inconvenienced dozens.
According to passenger reports, flights experienced delays lasting as many as eight hours.
A video, which went viral on social media showed the airport uproar.
The delays spilled into Sunday as dozens of passengers were stranded at the Lynden Pindling International Airport after extended delays turned into the cancelation of flights.
Bahamasair officials released a statement Sunday explaining that the extreme delays were a result of technical challenges related to the operation and said, the company was working to restore schedule integrity and on-time performance.
The company apologised for the inconvenience to customers.
