NASSAU, BAHAMAS- The Bahamas men’s field soccer team picked up a much-needed win on Monday, defeating Bonaire 2-1 at home as CONCACAF Nations League resumed.

Longtime national team members Cameron Hepple and Happy Hall scored for The Bahamas in the win.

“This feels amazing. It always feels good to score for the national team, but to do it under these conditions is massive. Everyone out here was motivated because of everything that happened this past week. We’re playing with a heavy heart and that’s part of the reason why we won,” Hepple said.

Hall scored on a deflection in the 50th minute, while Hepple delivered the second goal in the 78th minute.

The Bahamas plays out of Group B in League C with Bonaire and the British Virgin Islands (BVI), and will engage in home and away games against those two nations in the first round of league play
