The Bahamas men’s beach soccer team won its final international friendly tune up game before the start of the CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football)Beach Soccer Championships.
This year, the week-long event takes place in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and runs from May 13-19.
At The Bahamas National Beach Soccer Facility on Saturday, team Bahamas cruised to a 7-0 win over the Turks and Caicos.
The teams that will compete in Puerto Vallarta are: The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Bonaire, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Jamaica, host country Mexico, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, the Turks and Caicos Islands, the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The top two teams will qualify for the 2019 FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) Beach Soccer World Cup which will be held from November 21 to December 1, in Asunción, Paraguay.
At the CONCACAF Championships, the 16 participating teams will be sorted into four groups of four teams.
