Bahamas set to compete in U-18 Pan Am Baseball Confederation Championships

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Baseball Association (BBA) under-18 boys’ team will take the field today in Panama in the opening round of the Pan American Baseball Confederation Championships.

The top four teams will move on to represent the Americas in the 2019 World Baseball Softball Confederation World Cup in South Korea.

Team Bahamas competes out of Group B, along with Cuba, Canada, Venezuela and Colombia.

Group A is made up by the United States, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Peru and Honduras, while Group C consists of Nicaragua, Mexico, Argentina and Guatemala.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the super round and compete for the Pan American Championships, while the third and fourth place teams will qualify for the WBSC Under-18 World Cup.

Team Bahamas is led by BBA President Samuel Rodgers and Marvin Wood is the team delegate. The team is managed by Ken Adderley, and he will be assisted by Marcian Curry, Keel Pinder and Lionel Ferguson.

Franklyn Henfield, Kefon Wright, Dylan Cartwright, Derrinyj Russell, McKell Bethel, Treen Dorsette, Tyler Kemp, Devyn Munroe, Steffan McKenzie, James Rolle, Ferron Moss, Terran Rolle Camrone Meadows, Austing Knowles, Avard Hart and Rex Missick.
