The Bahamas boys national basketball team suffered a tough loss last night against Puerto Rico in its first game of the 2019 Centrobasket U-17 championships in Puerto Rico.
Deyton Albury led all scores with 20 points in the loss for The Bahamas. The team looks to bounce back today against El Salvador, beginning at 6 p.m.
The Bahamas is competing out of Group A in the tournament, along with the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and El Salvador.
Team Bahamas is made up by Tyler Pinder, Deyton Albury, Oswald Meadows, Jaden Smith, Romad Deans, Denardo Adderley, Reagan Roberts, Malik Joseph, Isiah Brennen, Joshua Burrows, Chester McPhee and Deante Dean.
