NASSAU, BAHAMAS – President and Vice President of the Arawak Cay Conch, Fish and Food Vendors Association, Rodney Russell and Lilliam Larrimore- Smith have decried a double shooting incident which claimed the life of an adult male on Arawak Cay on Monday night.
Russell, frustrated about the ordeal, explained that vendors do their best to provide an authentic, safe, Bahamian cultural experience and a deadly incident, like the double shooting which unfolded last night, “goes against the hard work vendors put into the area.”
Meanwhile, Larrimore- Smith said she is grateful the authorities were on scene within minutes to get the crowd under control.
Last night’s double shooting bumped the murder count to 25 for the year.
