American Eagle makes emergency landing in GB

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An American Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Grand Bahama on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

According to police reports, shortly before 10:00a.m., police received information that American Eagle Airlines, Flight 1963, left Charlotte, North Carolina en route to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with 109 passengers on board, including the crew, when it began to experience difficulties.

Police reported that as a precautionary measure, the airline made an emergency landing at the Grand Bahama International Airport where all emergency personnel were on standby.

The plane landed safely and there were no injuries or damages reported.

Investigations will continue.
