NASSAU, BAHAMAS — “The All Andros and the Berry Islands Regatta will be held July 4 – 7 in beautiful Morgan’s Bluff Andros,” announced regatta committee chairman, Ricardo Wilson, during a recent press conference held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources on June 26th.

Twenty sloop sailing boats, including two new boats, in the A, B and C classes are expected to participate and compete for prizes, the chairman said.

A gospel concert, cultural show and live entertainment are also scheduled to take place.

“We encourage all to come and support the vendors while enjoying the best in native dishes,” said Mr. Wilson.

The committee reminds the general public that the excursion boat, the Lady Rosalind, leaves Potter’s Cay at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are going fast.

“As you can appreciate regattas are very expensive: we say thank you to all boat owners and sailors throughout the country for helping to keep this great tradition alive,” Wilson said.
