NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 34-year-old male was arrested after joint efforts by police and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force led to the seizure of an unlicensed firearm.
According to reports, around 2:00 p.m., a team of officers from the Southwestern Division, with
assistance from the K-9 Unit, acting on information and armed with a search warrant, performed a search of a vehicle parked at a residence on Apple Way off Bellot Road.
Officers located an unlicensed firearm that contained ammunition inside, leading to the arrest of the vehicle’s owner, a 34-year-old male, police said.
