NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Bahamian Physician Dr. Ajita Wallace-Pinder is fighting for her life in the Intensive Care Unit as she battles heart failure that requires an urgent airlift within the next 48 hours.
The Medical Association of The Bahamas held an urgent press conference at its headquarters this afternoon, pleading with the public to donate to Wallace-Pinder’s medical fund. The association noted that she needs some $200,000 just for the beginning stages of her treatment.
Dr. Adrian Cargill Jr- Intensivist/Pulmonologist, Dr. Duane Sands – Cardiovascular Surgeon, Dr. Paul Ramphal – Cardiovascular Surgeon, Anton Roberts – Perfusionist, Dr. Patrick Cargill- Cardiologist, Dr. Bimal Francis- Cardiologist, Dr Terez Nairn-Knowles- Critical Care Team and a number of ICU nurses and Respiratory therapists, are currently monitoring Dr. Pinder at this time.
