PM receives PPE donation

NASSAU, BAHAMAS- The Bahamas Striping Group of Companies today donated Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis.

The donation was made to assist those on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19, and included 200 protective suits; 8,000 medical gloves, 2,000 protective face shields, 10,000 surgical face masks and 5,000 KN95 protective face masks.

“As proud Bahamians, we stand alongside the government and we applaud the gallant efforts, foresight of the government, our hardworking medical practitioners, and every Bahamian whose sacrifice will allow us to win this battle,” said Dr. Allen L. Albury, managing director, Bahamas Striping.

Atario Mitchell, president, and Dominic Sturrup, executive chairman and Sr. VP business development also attended the presentation.

Prime Minister Minnis received a sampling of the donation at the Office of the Prime Minister during a special presentation.

“Thank you for this generous donation of Personal Protective Equipment,” said Prime Minister Minnis. “This will help to protect our health care workers who are fighting COVID- 19 in our hospitals, clinics and health care facilities throughout The Bahamas.”
