NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The number of traffic fatalities recorded this year climbed to 38 after two cars crashed into each other in Exuma this morning.
Superintendent Marino Hinds said Domonique Bullard died instantly when a Chevy van collided with her silver 2006 Suzuki Areo.
Bullard was a teacher at L. N. Coakley High School.
Hinds said police at the Georgetown station received reports of a road traffic collision on Queens Highway near the Bahama Sound subdivision.
Yesterday, condolences poured in for Bullard and her family, the community of Forbes Hill and the staff and students at L. N. Coakley.
“Investigations revealed that a grey 2001 Chevy Astro Van traveling east crashed into a Silver Suzuki Areo 2006 which was heading west,” Hinds said.
“The driver of the Suzuki Areo died instantly at the scene.
“Police are continuing investigations into this traffic fatality,” Hinds said.
