NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in the capital recovered an illegal firearm from the streets of New Providence on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
According to police reports, shortly after 2:00p.m., Central Detective Unit Officers, acting on information, conducted a search of a bushy area on Finlayson Street and recovered a 9 millimeter pistol and nine rounds of ammunition.
No arrest was made in this incident and investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile police are appealing to anyone with information regarding this or any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call police at 919 or crime stoppers at 328-tips (8477) (new providence) or 1-242-300- 8477 (family islands).
