334lbs of suspected marijuana found in Bimini mangroves

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A total of 334lbs of suspected marijuana, valued at $334,000 was seized in Bimini on Saturday.

According to police reports, on Saturday, January 12, shortly before 10:00 a.m., officers of the Bimini Division, while patrolling in a police boat and acting on information, went to an area at the eastern end of South Bimini and discovered in mangroves, 58 packages of suspected marijuana.

The area was searched and no arrests were made. Investigations are ongoing.
