Man charged for Dec. 12 murder at variety store

NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Marlon Williams, 20, of First Street the Grove was charged in court on Monday with the murder of Mario Cartwright.

It is alleged that on December 12, 2018, Williams shot and killed Cartwright, a father of three, as he was innocently entering the Manda’s Variety Store.

Williams was also charged with armed robbery, having robbed Nerline Phillip of $200, also at Manda’s Variety Store, along with 26-year-old Paul Adderley.

Williams was not required to enter a plea and he was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until February 21.
