NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As the murder count in the capital rose to 87 and 88 on Tuesday, the country’s 89th murder also occurred yesterday on the island of Grand Bahama, marking the fifth for the nation’s second city.
According to police reports, shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called to a residence on Inagua Avenue, where a male was discovered with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Emergency Medical Personnel were called to the scene and he was later pronounced dead.
Police said they are actively investigating this matter and are appealing to the Grand Bahama community for any information that can assist them in this investigation by calling 350-3107- 12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.
