NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Medical Association of The Bahamas and The Bahamas Dental Association on Wednesday announced that its 47th annual conference will be held in March 2019.
The conference, slated for March 13-16, will be held under the theme, “pursuing your passion”.
“The theme, pursuing your passion is right on target, because we are passionate about our profession and we want to get greater exposure to dental health. Believe it or not, if you have a healthy mouth then you have a healthy body,” said head of the Medical Association, Dr. Marcus Cooper.
Cooper said next year’s conference will address pressing matters.
“We’re going to have topics specifically for physicians,” he said. “We are going to be covering general medicine topics, general surgery, oncology, and then we are going to have a host on dental topics as well.”
Dr. Cooper said the conference will also address childhood and adult obesity.
Lectures will also address medical marijuana and its place in the medical industry and nurses’ retention.
“We want to encourage persons to register early. We’re going to have a vast amount of talent and we are encouraging everyone to register online,” Dr. Cooper said.
