NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Tradewind Aviation is making one of its most ambitious moves in the Caribbean, commencing a Bahamas expansion that will triple its flight capacity across the country beginning December 11. The private aviation specialist, known for its shared-charter model and high-touch service, is launching new scheduled service to Nassau while adding more flights from Fort Lauderdale to Marsh Harbour and North Eleuthera. The move positions Tradewind as a leading premium gateway for travelers seeking smoother, more personalized access to the Out Islands.
All flights will operate from private jet terminals aboard Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, with two pilots, pressurized cabins and complimentary onboard refreshments. The model is designed to meet rising demand from travelers heading to private-island resorts, villa retreats, boutique properties and yachting destinations—groups that increasingly prioritize comfort, speed and privacy over traditional commercial connections.
The expansion introduces a new Stuart–Nassau route that creates the first direct private-terminal connection into the capital. Tradewind is targeting travelers looking for a faster, quieter arrival into Nassau’s luxury hotels and marinas, especially during peak periods when commercial terminal congestion can slow arrivals. The service also gives yacht crews, villa guests and winter residents a far more efficient alternative during the busiest months of the year.
In Marsh Harbour, Tradewind is boosting lift with new Fort Lauderdale flights that complement its existing operations from Stuart. Marsh Harbour remains one of the most important aviation gateways in the Abacos, connecting visitors to Hope Town, Man-O-War, Elbow Cay and an extensive network of villa and boating experiences. Tradewind’s added service strengthens access to a region where reliable, premium airlift continues to be a top priority for leisure travelers and second-home owners.
The company is also expanding its footprint in North Eleuthera, with flights now operating from both Fort Lauderdale and Stuart. What was once a seasonal service is now shifting to year-round availability, offering a streamlined private-terminal experience for travelers heading to Harbour Island, The Bluff and Eleuthera’s upscale northern coastline. The intimate configuration of the PC-12 makes it particularly appealing for guests bound for boutique hotels, luxury vacation homes and destination weddings.
Tradewind’s decision to keep its Stuart–Marsh Harbour and Stuart–North Eleuthera routes operating throughout the year represents a meaningful shift for the market. It provides dependable lift for travelers planning long-term stays, off-season getaways or villa rentals, rather than limiting reliable service to winter peaks.
The expansion solidifies the Bahamas as a central pillar of Tradewind’s Caribbean strategy, deepening the company’s role in delivering premium, seamless travel from Nassau’s marinas and hotels to some of the archipelago’s most remote and exclusive enclaves. Tradewind continues to operate a growing regional network, including flights to St Barth via San Juan, as it extends its reach across the region’s most in-demand leisure destinations.
