RAGGED ISLAND, BAHAMAS — Police wish to inform the public that they are aware of information circulating on social media platforms concerning an incident that occurred on Saturday, 24th May, 2025, on Ragged Island.
Preliminary reports indicate that a group of males were gathered outside a residence when a male suspect allegedly discharged a firearm in the area. No injuries were reported, but property was damaged during the incident.
Consequently, a 21-year-old male later surrendered to authorities and was arrested. A licensed firearm was confiscated, and the suspect was transported to Exuma for safekeeping.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
