The Utilities Regulations and Competition Authority (URCA) on Tuesday demanded Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) executives provide relevant documentation surrounding the procurement of additional generation in relation to the proposed liquified natural gas (LNG) power plant to be constructed at Clifton Pier.

The demands come on the heels of concerns also expressed by the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce (BCC) on the request for the development.

Eyewitness News obtained documents highlighting a pattern of non-compliance by BPL and in essence an undermining of URCA’s ability to carry out its functions.
