NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Motorists are being urged to exercise patience during traffic stops as the backlog of license plates continues.
Officer in Charge of Traffic Chief Superintendent Eugene Strachan told Eyewitness News that all who are not in possession of a license plate but registered their vehicles to The Department of Road Traffic should have a stamped receipt and their disc with them in the vehicle at all times. Failure to have this proper documentation or a license plate can result in a fine of up to $250.
With more frequent traffic stops on the roads in the capital, the traffic cop asks motorists to give officers grace as their primary goal is to keep the streets safe.
