Prime Minister Davis promotes The Bahamas as a premier destination for partnership and investment

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis is promoting The Bahamas as a leading destination for global partnerships and investments during a series of meetings in London this week.

His agenda includes participating in the African Leadership Summit, where he delivered a keynote address highlighting shared histories, expanding trade and diplomatic ties, and opportunities for investment and new transport connections.

The recent Afreximbank Annual Meetings and AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum, held in The Bahamas, drew over 5,000 delegates, reflecting the government’s dedication to economic collaboration and strengthening alliances on shared interests.

While in London, the Prime Minister will also meet with the UK legal team collaborating with the Office of the Attorney General regarding the Grand Bahama Port Authority, particularly concerning the $357 million owed to Bahamian taxpayers under clause 1(5)(c) of the Hawksbill Creek Agreement.

Earlier this week, he met with former Prime Minister Tony Blair to discuss mutual interests and ongoing collaboration.

The Prime Minister’s meetings in London will conclude on Friday, with Deputy Prime Minister Chester I. Cooper serving as Acting Prime Minister during his absence.
