Grassroots basketball standout Wilkenson Isnord earned his first high major National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I offer over the weekend.
The 6’8” forward received an official offer from Virginia Tech University, following a strong showing at the Summer Hoops Festival in Orlando, Florida.
Isnord is currently traveling with the Showtime Ballers Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team for the current live recruitment period.
Isnord delivered 10 points in the Ballers’ final game of the tournament, a win over South Carolina. Along with Virginia Tech, Isnord has already received offers from the University of Buffalo, St. Bonaventure, Florida Gulf Coast University, James Madison and Appalachian State University.
In 30 games as a high school senior for Blanche Ely, he averaged 6.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game as the Tigers claimed the Class 8A state title.
