PS appointments reassigned
The Cabinet Office on Monday confirmed a shuffle in the Minnis Administration.
The reassignments come just over a year after Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis made his first set of appointments, following a landslide win at the polls.
In a statement released to the media yesterday, Cabinet confirmed that the following reassignments will take effect July 4, 2018:
- Renward Wells reassigned to the Ministry of Transport and Local Government
- Frankie Campbell reassigned to the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development
- Michael Pintard will be moved to the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources and;
- Lanisha Rolle is reassigned to the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture
Dr. Minnis spoke to Eyewitness News and stated that the shuffle will provide his Cabinet Ministers the opportunity to expand their knowledge base and skill set for the future.
He also indicated the reassignment of certain Permanent Secretaries’, which will take effect on July 30.
Cabinet announced that Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Local Government Lorraine Armbrister will move to the Ministry of Education, while Nicole Campbell who serves in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture moves to the Office of the Prime Minister.
Sherrylee Smith – who served at the Urban Renewal Commission, will be moved to the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development, while Jack Thompson, who presently serves in the Office of the Prime Minister, will be transferred to the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture.
Elise Delancy will head the new Modernization Unit in the Prime Minister’s Office, after serving in the Ministry of Public Service and National Insurance.
Donella Bodie will move to the Ministry of Public Service and National Insurance form her current post at the Ministry of Education.
Finally, Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Social Services Cora Bain Colebrooke will be transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Local Government.
