73 more COVID-19 cases, two more confirmed deaths

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Health officials confirmed 73 more cases of COVID-19 in The Bahamas yesterday.

Of the new cases, there were 72 in New Providence and one in Grand Bahama.

Total cases stood at 4,632, of which 1,961 remain active.

Additionally, health officials advised that two previous deaths under investigation were confirmed as COVID-19-related.

These included a 76-year-old woman of New Providence, who died last Thursday, and a 44-year-old man of Abaco, who died on September 17.

The confirmed death stands at 102.

There were an additional 62 recoveries.

There have been 2,537 recovered cases.

An additional case was hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

As of yesterday, there were 113 hospitalized cases.
