NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Bahamas recorded 32 coronavirus cases on Friday and Saturday, pushing the total number of cases to 7,765.
Of the 19 cases on Saturday, there were 10 on New Providence, seven on Grand Bahama, one on Abaco and one on Eleuthera.
Of the 13 infections on Friday, there were nine on New Providence, two on Grand Bahama, one in Abaco and one in Exuma.
As of Saturday, 16 cases remain hospitalized, four more than the day prior.
A total of 1,415 cases remain active.
Another 6,127 have recovered.
This represents a recovery rate of just under 79 percent.
There have been 164 COVID-19-related deaths.
Another 24 death remain under investigation.
With 433 tests performed on Saturday, the positivity rate stood at just over four percent.
More than 49,100 tests have been performed.
This includes the private sector.
