$2M upgrades pegged for LPIA, according to Aviation Minister

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two hundred million dollars worth of repairs are on the horizon for Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), according to Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation Chester Cooper.

The aviation minister made the revelation at the Airports Conference of Americas currently being hosted at the Baha Mar Convention Centre.

Cooper asserted that the “reality is that LPIA has outgrown its current capacity,” he shared that the upgrades could occur within the next 12 to 18 months.

LPIA is one of the busiest airports in the Caribbean.
