Law enforcement officers discovered thousands of dollars’ worth of dangerous drugs in Grand Bahama Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Authorities confirmed that the major bust came as a result of information provided by an anonymous tipster.
Reports are that shortly before 4:00 pm Tuesday, Central Detective Unit (CDU) officers, along with the K-9 Unit and Bahamas Customs officers, proceeded to Florin Drive, South Bahamia where they discovered nine crocus bags in a bushy area.
All bags contained packages of suspected marijuana, police confirmed.
The suspected marijuana weighed 226 pounds with a street value of $226, 000.
