A new fleet of motorcycles was commissioned Wednesday by Royal Bahamas Force (RBPF) Commissioner Anthony Ferguson who said the 26 bikes will help crack down on infractions such as driving without a seatbelt and without due care and attention.
Some of the motorcycles, he said, will be sent to a number of Family Islands including Abaco, Cat Island, Exuma and Grand Bahama.
Ferguson noted that one of the force’s biggest challenges is getting road users to understand the dangers of speeding and driving while under the influence.
