151 new COVID-19 cases, 39 more recoveries

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Health officials yesterday confirmed 151 new coronavirus cases in The Bahamas, pushing the total number of infections to 4,864.

Of the new cases, there were 115 in New Providence, two in the Berry Islands, one in Grand Bahama, one in Exuma, and 32 cases with locations pending.

Cases with pending locations now stand at 201 — the third-largest category of cases when comparing islands.

There were an additional 39 recoveries today, increasing total recoveries to 2,646 or 54 percent.

Active cases have surpassed 2,000 and now stand at 2,084.

New Providence continues to lead with 3,660 infections.

Grand Bahama follows with 653, and Abaco trails with 157 cases.

There have been 54 cases in Bimini, 33 in Exuma, 25 in Eleuthera, 19 in Inagua, 17 in the Berry Islands, 12 in Long Island, nine in Cat Island, nine in Andros, seven in Acklins, five in Crooked Island, and three in Mayaguana.
