NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Minister of National Security Wayne Munroe confirmed Monday morning that over 150 illegal migrants were captured in Bahamian waters over the weekend and are now being processed for repatriation.
Munroe noted that government refuses to absorb the burden of housing illegal migrants despite Amnesty International’s call for countries to stop repatriating Haitians to Haiti as the country is still plagued with civil unrest.
