NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Government Solar Panel Installation project in public schools throughout the country continues, CH Reeves Junior School is the most recent institution to be outfitted with a $100,000 solar system.
Minister of Energy and Transport Jobeth Coleby-Davis toured the campus today with the principal of the institution and the company responsible for the installation, AneoTech Technologies.
Coleby-Davis noted that the Ministry of Energy and Transport will collaborate with the Ministry of Education to analyze the electricity bills at the various schools where panels have been installed to see what overall energy savings look like.
CH Reeves Principal Sterling Mcphee told media that this is also an opportunity to educate the student body on renewable energy and its benefits to the environment.
As for the future of the project, Coleby-Davis says government already has a few schools in the pipeline to join the solar panel initiative.
