ZNS HQ, Department of Environmental Planning closed for cleaning after worker tests positive

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB) Headquarters at Harcourt “Rusty” Bethel Drive will be closed to the public today for cleaning and sanitization due to a staff member testing positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement, the staff member has not been on duty for several days; however, management will have the concerned area(s) cleaned and sanitized as a precautionary measure.

The building will reopen fully for normal business tomorrow (October  14).

Last night, the Cabinet Office announced the Department of Environmental Planning and Protection at Charlotte House, Shirley and Charlotte Streets will be closed today for deep cleaning and sanitizing after a staff member having tested positive for COVID-19.

The Department of Environmental Planning and Protection will reopen tomorrow (October 14).

According to the statement, the Ministry of the Environment and Housing, the Department of Housing, Forestry Unit, and Accounts Section, also in Charlotte House, will remain open.
