WOMAN STABBED TO DEATH/SUSPECT ATTEMPTS SUICIDE

This was really an unfortunate incident. After reviewing the clips it pointed out one obvious thing, the police on scene were not trained to handle that situation. As a trained crisis negotiator I noticed that the scene was not secured to avoid bystanders from interfering and there were too many persons trying to communicate with him.
Establish who will do what and stick to it. He gave some information on the scene but one could’ve communicated with him on that level because they wanted him to come down.
This was a tragic scene and it is one that needs to learn from.
