Two shot, one dead on Dumping Ground Corner

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A man was a shot and killed and another one injured, shorty after 7pm on Friday on Dumping Ground Corner, police said.

According to reports, occupants of a dark Nissan Cube pulled up in front of a residence through and fired shots in the direction of the individuals gathered.

Police said two men were hit and the suspect escaped in the western direction.

Both victims were transported to the hospital via private vehicles.

One succumbed to his injuries and the other was listed in a stable condition.

Police also reported that just after 10:30pm on the same day, while acting on information, they found a black and red .38 Ruger pistol in an abandoned building on Dumping Ground Corner.

Police are also investigating the circumstances of an armed robbery on Friday.

According to reports, shortly after 2pm, a man was walking along Spence Street, Mason’s Addition when he was accosted by two men, one of whom was robbed of a gun.

The man was robbed of his car keys, cell phone and cash before the assailants escaped in the direction of Fort Fincastle.
