Man killed on impact in GB traffic accident

A Grand Bahama motorist died instantly early Tuesday morning, according to police, after his vehicle slammed into a utility pole.

The traffic accident took place shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Queens Highway, West End, police said.

Traffic police said the driver of the 2008 Honda Fit, lost control of the vehicle and died on the scene after the vehicle split in two on impact.

Police are pleading to motorist to drive with caution, follow the speed limit, and to always wear their seatbelts.

Investigations are said to be continuing.
